Ed Olczyk


Edward Walter Eddie Olczyk, Jr. is a former professional hockey player and head coach from the United States. He was a center in the National Hockey League forseasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks, and Pittsburgh Penguins. Olczyk was also the head coach of the Pittsburgh Penguins from June 2003 to December 2005.

Olczyk was tied with Phil Kessel for the second longest point streak by an American born player in NHL history, atgames. He achieved this in 198990, while with Toronto. That record was broken by Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks with a goal at 1110 of the 1st period, November 28, 2015 vs. the Los Angeles Kings
